Dear Supporter,,
We did it. We hosted our first poker run and raised $3806. Thank you all who participated and a special thanks to Delmer at the Hawg Stop for allowing us to use his facilities (while he rode on the poker run). Mean Gene Kelton played, and as always, put on an awesome performance.
There were 121 bikers registered at the Poker Run on Sunday. The winner of the Poker Run, Shay M., won with a straight - King High. Wow, now that was hard to beat. She received a Breast Cancer Awareness igloo ice chest filled with a T-Shirt, 2 pink ribbon koozies, a pink ribbon necklace and earring set, a $25 gift card and cap from the local HD Dealership, $45 gift certificate to Carraba's Restaurant, AND.... $300 in $5 scratch-offs (60 tickets). Congratulations Shay! AND...Everyone registered walked away with a door prize courtesy of our sponsors and supporters.
Together We CAN Make a Difference,
Brandy Reed

The Hawg Stop is an "open air" ice house located in East Houston. With a faithful and fun loving customer base, there is always something happening at the "Stop".
Employees Bill, Eva, Davalynn & Barbara will make you feel right at home. With a dedicated staff and a laid back atmosphere, the Hawg Stop is a great place to get away for a "cold one".
The Hawg Stop opened at it's current location on Sheldon Road in 1999. It is owned and operated by Delmer Barkley who can frequently be seen taking care of business and talking with customers.
Delmer originally opened "Delmer's Ice House" on Garrett Road in 1995. As the business grew, he set his sights on opening a larger venue, one that was more suited for larger crowds and events.
In 2003, additional property adjacent to the existing Hawg Stop was acquired bringing the total size of the Hawg Stop property to approximately 35 acres.
A nine acre lake is under construction, and when finished will surely add to the charm of this East Houston hideaway. In addition, current plans are underway to provide an RV Park.

Harley's Angels is a group of women motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, research, and education. Our primary fundraising project is the publication of a calendar featuring the women of "Harley's Angels". With one out of eight women being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, it is no surprise that there are also several breast cancer survivors within our group. The calendar is tastefully designed featuring the women of Harley's Angels and our motorcycles.
Our first calendar was published in 2003 and after five successful calendar years, you are likely to find our calendars anywhere from bike shops to grandmother's kitchen. We have donated $360,000 to two of Houston's finest research centers supporting Dr. Kent Osborne, Director of Baylor's Breast Center, and Dr. Kelly Hunt, Chief Breast Surgeon, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Harley's Angels, Cruzin' to Cure, is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer organization. We would like to invite you to join us in the crusade to find a cure for breast cancer. If you would like to join us in this effort, please visit our web site at www.harleysangels.org or contact any of the Harley's Angels volunteer members.
We are Harley's Angels and we're Cruzin' to Cure breast cancer!
